Biography

William Richard "Billy" West (born April 16, 1952) is an American voice actor. He began his career in the early 1980s performing daily comedic routines on Boston's WBCN, a top rock station at the time, before moving on to work on the revival of Beany and Cecil. He was also a cast member on Howard Stern's radio show during the early to mid-1990s.

West is best known for his voice work on *Ren & Stimpy*, *Doug*, and *Futurama*. He originated the roles of Philip J. Fry in *Futurama* and Stimpy in *Ren & Stimpy*, both of which are among his favorite characters. West provided the voices of Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd in *Space Jam* (1996), and has continued to voice these characters in other *Looney Tunes* films and video games. He has expressed strong opinions about the trend of movie stars providing voices for animated films and major shows.

In addition to voice acting, West is a guitarist and singer-songwriter, performing with the band Billy West and The Grief Counselors.
