Takeshi Watabe

Takeshi Watabe was a Japanese actor and voice actor known for his roles in anime and tokusatsu. He frequently portrayed villains and provided voices for numerous characters, most notably Kaminari in *Doraemon*. He also took over the role of Shingo Kanemoto following the actor's death. Among his other significant roles were Inspector Takao Arizuka in the *You're Under Arrest* franchise, Naoyuki Kamikurata in *Aquarian Age: Sign for Evolution*, Colonel John Kowen in *Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory*, and Director Yachio Tokugawa in *Strawberry Eggs*. In addition to his acting career, Watabe authored a voice-acting guide titled *Seiyū Naritai*. He passed away on December 13, 2010, at the age of 74, after battling lung cancer and dying from pneumonia.
