General Hospital unveils cast photo for 16,000th episode

ABC released a group photograph of the General Hospital cast celebrating the show's 16,000th episode, which airs on July 13. The image features newcomers such as Dean Geyer as Dr. Tristan Roberts and Kayden Brennan Tokarski as Scout Cain, alongside longtime members who participated in the cake‑cutting ceremony. Several regulars are absent from the photo, including Genie Francis, Amanda Setton, Jens Austin Astrup, Jonathan Bennett, Josh Kelly, Van Hansis and Kelly Kruger, whose scheduling conflicts kept them off set. The milestone episode also marks the return of Steve Burton’s Jason Morgan and sees Finola Hughes and James Patrick Stewart back in Port Charles.

General Hospital: Steve Burton Returns as Wounded Jason Morgan

General Hospital will mark its 16,000th episode on July 13 with the return of Steve Burton as Jason Morgan. Burton last appeared in March when Jason claimed to have shot WSB director Ross Cullum to protect Rocco Falconeri, who was actually responsible. Jason was arrested and has been absent since. In a recent podcast, Burton hinted that Jason's return will bring significant changes to his character. The episode will also feature Josslyn Jacks being visited by WSB chief Z, who asked her to keep the truth about Cullum's shooting under wraps. Burton resumed filming in June and expressed excitement about the new storylines ahead.
