Biography

Sigurd Jonny Hansen is a Norwegian-American captain and co-owner of the fishing vessel F/V Northwestern. He has appeared in every season of the documentary television series *Deadliest Catch* since its debut in 2005, making him a central figure in the show. In addition to his role as captain, Hansen also serves as a technical advisor for the production. He appears in the spin-off documentary *Deadliest Catch: The Viking Returns*.
