Biography
Samuel M. Raimi is an American filmmaker known for his work in both horror and superhero genres. He gained prominence for writing and directing the Evil Dead trilogy (1981–1993), a series that helped define modern horror cinema. Raimi also directed the Spider-Man trilogy (2002–2007), which revitalized the superhero film genre. His other notable films include Darkman (1990), The Quick and the Dead (1995), A Simple Plan (1998), The Gift (2000), Drag Me to Hell (2009), Oz the Great and Powerful (2013), and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022). Raimi's upcoming project is Send Help (2026).
