    Biography

    Ruth McCabe is an Irish stage, screen, and voice actress from Clones, County Monaghan. She is known for her role as Kay Curley in Stephen Frears' film *The Snapper*, as well as for portraying Mary, the love interest of Christy Brown, in *My Left Foot*. McCabe also appeared as Wyn Ryan, the sister of Dr. Sam Ryan, in three seasons of the British crime drama *Silent Witness*. She originated the role of Kay McCoy, the owner of McCoy's bar, in the RTÉ soap opera *Fair City*.
