Robert Carlyle

Robert Carlyle OBE (born 14 April 1961) is a Scottish actor. His film roles include appearances in *Trainspotting* (1996), *The Full Monty* (1997), *The World Is Not Enough* (1999), *There's Only One Jimmy Grimble* (2000), *The Beach* (2000), *The 51st State* (2001), *Eragon* (2006), *28 Weeks Later* (2007), and *The Legend of Barney Thomson* (2015). He has also appeared in the television series *Hamish Macbeth*, *Stargate Universe*, *Once Upon a Time*, and *COBRA*.

Carlyle won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in *The Full Monty*, and a Gemini Award for his work in *Stargate Universe*. He was also nominated for an Emmy Award for his role in the miniseries *Human Trafficking* (2005).
