Reggie Fils-Aimé

Reginald Fils-Aimé, the son of Haitian immigrants, grew up in New York and earned an economics degree from Cornell before building a career in marketing across Procter & Gamble, Pizza Hut, and Panda Express. He arrived at Nintendo of America in 2003 as head of sales and marketing, an unknown quantity to gamers. He introduced himself at a trade show with a line that became legend: "My name is Reggie. I'm about kicking ass, I'm about taking names, and we're about making games." A star was born.

Promoted to president and COO of Nintendo of America in 2006, Fils-Aimé became the North American face of the company during its most improbable triumph. The Nintendo DS and the Wii shattered the notion that games were only for young men, reaching grandparents, families, and lapsed players with motion controls and touchscreens.
