Ray Davies

Ray Davies is an English musician best known as the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and primary songwriter for the rock band the Kinks. He formed the core of the band alongside his younger brother Dave, and the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. His lyrics often focus on English culture, nostalgia, and social satire, and he is frequently referred to as the "Godfather of Britpop," although he has disputed the label. Following the Kinks' disbandment in 1996, Davies continued his career as a solo artist and also worked as an actor, director, and producer in theatre and television.
