Ramón Franco

Ramón Franco Bahamonde was a Spanish aviation pioneer, military officer, and politician, and the brother of future dictator Francisco Franco. During the reign of King Alfonso XIII, prior to the Spanish Civil War, both Ramón and Francisco were celebrated as national heroes in Spain. Although they shared a background in the military and public acclaim, the brothers held opposing political views. Ramón was one of three brothers—alongside Francisco and Nicolás—who all served in the military and participated in political affairs.
