Nikki Sixx

Nikki Sixx is an American musician who co‑founded the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, serving as its bassist and primary songwriter while remaining its only constant member. Prior to Mötley Crüe, he played in the bands Sister and London. In 2000 he formed the group 58, which issued the album Diet for a New America. He co‑founded the hard rock supergroup Brides of Destruction with Tracii Guns in 2002. In 2006 he created Sixx:A.M., intended as an audio accompaniment to his autobiography The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star; the band’s lineup included James Michael and DJ Ashba. Sixx also works as an author, photographer, and radio personality.
