Laura Pergolizzi, known professionally as LP, is an American singer, musician, and songwriter. LP has released seven studio albums and three EPs. They have written songs for various artists, including Cher, Rihanna, the Backstreet Boys, Leona Lewis, Mylène Farmer, Céline Dion, and Christina Aguilera.

Born in 1981 on Long Island to Italian-American parents, LP's paternal grandfather was from Palermo and their grandmother from Naples. They began using the mononym "LP" after relocating to New York City.
