Biography
Lilly Wachowski, writer of *The Matrix*, was born in 1967 in Chicago. Her mother, Lynne, was a nurse and painter, and her father, Ron, was a businessman. Lilly attended Kellogg Elementary School in Chicago and later Whitney M. Young High School. After graduating from high school, she enrolled at Emerson College in Boston but left before completing her degree. Lilly later partnered with her older sibling, Lana Wachowski.
