Danganronpa 2x2 Delayed to Early 2027, Creator Suggests Playing GTA 6 in the Meantime
At Anime Expo 2026, Spike Chunsoft revealed new details about the upcoming remake of Danganronpa 2x2, including a new scenario called 'Slayhem Scenario' written in collaboration with series creator Kazutaka Kodaka. The game, originally scheduled for a 2026 release, has been delayed to Early 2027. The remake includes a fresh coat of paint, gameplay changes, and a complete overhaul of the world map. Meanwhile, the game's creator humorously suggested that fans waiting for the delay could play GTA 6 instead. Other announcements at the panel included updates on the Steins;Gate Re:Boot remake, which features redrawn art and new animated portraits, and was developed without AI.
