Karen Gillan

Karen Gillan is a Scottish actress and filmmaker who is best known for her role as Amy Pond, a central companion to the Eleventh Doctor in the science fiction series *Doctor Who*, which she appeared in from 2010 to 2013. She started her acting career with early film roles in the thriller *Outcast* (2010) and the romantic comedy *Not Another Happy Ending* (2013). In addition to her film roles, Gillan has performed on the British stage, including a notable appearance in John Osborne's play *Inadmissible Evidence* (2011).
