    Biography

    Joseph Guilherme Raposo was an American composer and songwriter known for his contributions to children's television, particularly for his work on *Sesame Street*. He composed the show's theme song and wrote several iconic songs, including "Bein' Green," "C Is For Cookie," and "Sing." Raposo also composed music for other television programs, such as *The Electric Company*, *Shining Time Station*, and the sitcoms *Three's Company* and *The Ropers*, for which he wrote the theme songs. In addition, he provided musical scores for three Dr. Seuss television specials produced by DePatie–Freleng Enterprises: *Halloween Is Grinch Night* (1977), *Pontoffel Pock, Where Are You?* (1980), and *The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat* (1982).
