Joe Perry

Joe Perry (born September 10, 1950) is an American musician known as the founding member, lead guitarist, backing, and occasional lead vocalist of the rock band Aerosmith. He also leads his own solo band, The Joe Perry Project, and is a member of the all-star band Hollywood Vampires, which includes Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp.

Perry was ranked 84th in Rolling Stone's list of The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. In 2001, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of Aerosmith. In 2013, Perry and his songwriting partner Steven Tyler received the ASCAP Founders Award and were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. In October 2014, Simon & Schuster published *Rocks: My Life In and Out of Aerosmith*, co-written by Perry and David Ritz.
