Joaquim Dos Santos

Joaquim Dos Santos is a Portuguese-American television director specializing in animated cartoons, known for his work on Justice League Unlimited, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and The Legend of Korra. He began as a storyboard artist for Justice League before being promoted to director for the show's renamed third season. He directed half of the episodes of Justice League Unlimited alongside Dan Riba, including the final episode "Destroyer." He joined the Avatar: The Last Airbender team in the middle of its second season as a storyboard artist and started directing episodes in the third season, including the final two parts of the four-part season finale.

Dos Santos also directed the mini-series G.I. Joe: Resolute. Following that project, he returned to Warner Bros. Animation, where he directed two DC Showcase short films: The Spectre, which accompanied the direct-to-video movie Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, and Jonah Hex, which accompanied Batman: Under the Red Hood. He is currently serving as an executive producer and co-showrunner on the animated series Voltron: Legendary Defender alongside Lauren Montgomery.

Some fans have given him the nickname "Dr. Fight" due to his expertise in choreographing fight sequences and action scenes.
