Biography

Jessica Cameron, an actress and filmmaker, was born and raised in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. She moved to Toronto to study fashion at Ryerson University. After completing her degree, she relocated to Ohio to work as a fashion designer. However, after taking an acting class and becoming deeply interested in the craft, Cameron decided to pursue acting as her full-time career.

Relocating to Hollywood, California, Cameron has appeared in more than fifty projects in the last few years, including music videos, television shows, and feature films. In 2010, she won an industry award for being a Rising Movie Star. Some of her notable performances include playing Princess Areola in the film *Potpourri*, directed by Elliot Diviney, and her role in *Mr. Hush*, where she starred alongside horror actor Steven Geoffreys. She also worked with director Jim Wynorski on the Syfy channel film *Camel Spiders*, and with director Jeff Burr on *Resurrection*. Cameron portrayed Marilyn Monroe in *The Black Dahlia Haunting*, a role she was particularly excited about, having been a longtime fan of the Hollywood icon.

In 2013, Cameron made her directorial debut with *Truth Or Dare*, a torture film that she also co-wrote, produced, and directed. The film screened nearly 50 times worldwide and won 34 awards. That same year, she directed several short films, including a segment for a Blood Drive PSA. In 2015, she produced two feature films—*Utero* and *Save Yourself*—before undertaking a major project in which she traveled across the United States in a motor home with a small crew and cast to film three movies. The team produced two narrative features—*Lilith* and *Mania*—and a documentary titled *Kill The Production Assistant* chronicling the experience. *Mania* marked Cameron's second feature film as director and won 28 awards, screening at over 37 festivals. Her third film, *An Ending*, was in post-production in 2019.

Jessica Cameron remains an active actress and filmmaker. Among her notable credits are roles in *Silent Night* directed by Steven C. Miller, the holiday horror film *All Through the House*, the gore-heavy *American Guinea Pig: Song of Solomon*, the cult classic *The Sleeper*, the action film *Run Like Hell*, and the documentary *Haunters*, in which she discusses her passion for extreme haunted attractions.
