Jennifer Lee

Jennifer Michelle Lee (born Rebecchi; October 22, 1971) is an American filmmaker and playwright. She held the position of chief creative officer (CCO) of Walt Disney Animation Studios from 2018 to 2024, after which she stepped down to return to full-time filmmaking. Lee is best known for writing and co-directing Frozen (2013) and its sequel Frozen 2 (2019), with the former earning her an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. In addition to being the first female CCO of Walt Disney Animation Studios, Lee was the first female director of a feature film from the studio and the first female director of two feature films that each grossed more than $1 billion at the box office.
