    Biography

    Ian Holm was an English actor who began his career on the British stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company after graduating from RADA. He went on to enjoy a successful and prolific career in both television and film. Holm received numerous accolades, including two BAFTA Awards and a Tony Award, and was nominated for an Academy Award. In recognition of his contributions to drama, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1998.
