    Ian Abercrombie was an English actor primarily known for his television roles. He became widely recognized for playing Elaine's boss, Mr. Lippman, in the sixth season of *Seinfeld*. Abercrombie also appeared in other notable series, such as *Desperate Housewives*, where he portrayed Rupert Cavanaugh, and *Wizards of Waverly Place*, in which he played Professor Crumbs.
