Biography
Helena Bonham Carter is an English actress known for her eccentric character portrayals in both blockbuster and independent films, particularly in period dramas. She gained prominence for her roles as Lucy Honeychurch in *A Room with a View* (1985) and the title character in *Lady Jane* (1986). Early in her career, she was often typecast as a "virginal English rose," a label she found restrictive. Bonham Carter is also noted for her distinctive fashion sense and dark aesthetic.
