Georgie Henley

Georgina Helen Henley was born on July 9, 1995, in Ilkley, Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. She is the youngest of three daughters of Mike and Helen Henley. As a child, she joined a local drama group called "Upstagers," where she performed in stage productions such as "Babushka: A Christmas Story" and "The Pied Piper." Her first film role came after casting director Pippa Hall, working on *The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe* (2005), visited her town. After a single audition, Georgie was chosen to play Lucy Pevensie, following an 18-month casting process that involved thousands of girls. She reprised the role in *The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian* (2008) and *The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader* (2010). Promoting the Narnia trilogy took her to cities including New York, Orlando, Tokyo, and Paris. Georgie completed her 6th form at Bradford Grammar School in 2012 and began studying English at the University of Cambridge in Autumn 2013. Though she is no longer part of "Upstagers," she continues to pursue acting and has performed in school theatre productions. In her spare time, she enjoys watching films, listening to and writing music. She has expressed interest in teaching, or pursuing music and writing, should she step away from acting in the future.
