Fat Joe

Joseph Antonio Cartagena, known professionally as Fat Joe, is an American rapper who began his career as a member of the hip hop group Diggin' in the Crates Crew (D.I.T.C.) in 1992. He launched his solo career with the release of his debut studio album, *Represent*, in 1993. In the late 1990s, Fat Joe founded the hip hop group Terror Squad and its record label, which became a platform for New York-based artists such as Big Pun, Remy Ma, Tony Sunshine, Cuban Link, and Triple Seis. The label also helped launch the careers of producers DJ Khaled and Cool & Dre.
