    Biography

    David Jason Muir is an American journalist and television news anchor who serves as co-anchor of the ABC News magazine *20/20* and as an anchor for *ABC World News Tonight*. Based in New York City, Muir joined the ABC broadcast-television network and previously worked as the weekend anchor and primary substitute anchor on *World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer*. He became a regular anchor on the program on September 1, 2014, succeeding Diane Sawyer.
