    David Acord is an American sound editor and voice actor known for his work on the *Star Wars* franchise. He served as a supervising sound editor for *Star Wars: The Force Awakens* (2015), earning Academy Award and British Academy Film Award nominations for Best Sound Editing alongside Matthew Wood. Acord also provided voice work for the film, portraying stormtrooper FN-2199, a role that gained unexpected online popularity. He contributed to *Star Wars Rebels* with minor voice roles and voiced Grogu in *The Mandalorian* (2019–2020). Acord received a second Oscar nomination in 2020 for *Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker* (2019), again collaborating with Wood. Additionally, he worked as a sound designer for the 2015 video game *Disney Infinity*.
