Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis

Status: shelved

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, a free-to-play mobile and PC game that reimagines the events of Final Fantasy VII and its spinoffs, is set to shut down on October 6. The game, which features new storylines and characters, has been suspended from real money transactions as it prepares to close. The shutdown follows challenges in balancing production costs with player demand for in-game content. The game's producer, Shoichi Ishikawa, explained that maintaining visual quality and gameplay balance proved difficult. The closure may impact players' ability to explore lore tied to characters who have appeared in the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy.
