Battle Beyond the Stars is a 1980 American space opera film directed by Jimmy T. Murakami and produced by Roger Corman's New World Pictures. It reimagines the story of The Magnificent Seven in a science fiction setting, following a group of mercenaries who are hired to defend a planet from an oppressive warlord. The film features an ensemble cast including Richard Thomas, Robert Vaughn, George Peppard, John Saxon, Sybil Danning, and Darlanne Fluegel. With its blend of action, space adventure, and Western-inspired storytelling, the film presents a unique take on the genre.
