A group of visionary game developers risk everything to create the iconic *Call of Duty* franchise, navigating corporate takeovers, creative battles, and the pressure to redefine modern warfare on screen and in the hands of millions.

About

Infinity Ward, Inc. is an American video game developer best known for creating the *Call of Duty* series. Founded in 2002 by Vince Zampella, Grant Collier, and Jason West, the studio was formed by 22 former colleagues from 2015, Inc., who had previously worked on *Medal of Honor: Allied Assault*. Activision initially invested in the company by acquiring 30 percent of its shares before fully purchasing it. Infinity Ward's debut title, the World War II-themed *Call of Duty*, was released for PC in 2003, and Activision acquired the remaining shares the following day. The studio went on to develop several major entries in the *Call of Duty* franchise, including *Call of Duty 2*, *Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare*, and its sequels, as well as *Call of Duty: Ghosts*, *Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare*, and the *Modern Warfare* reboot series.
